Psalm 78:18-20 (NIV)
18 They willfully put God to the test
by demanding the food they craved.
19 They spoke against God;
they said, “Can God really
spread a table in the wilderness?
20 True, he struck the rock,
and water gushed out,
streams flowed abundantly,
but can he also give us bread?
Can he supply meat for his people?”
The above statements were made by the Israelites. It was a statement of hopelessness, despair, worries, disappointment and unbelief in God. They felt let down! More or less, like when Nathanael couldn’t fathom the likelihood of Messiah coming out of Nazareth.
John 1:46 (NIV) “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.
One thing is sure, we serve a God that can make something out of nothing, somebody out of nobody. He can meet our needs even in an unlikely place and source. Typical examples are Elijah being fed by ravens, miraculous drinking water coming out of the rock, the rain of heavenly baked manna, and so on and so forth. He is known for making a way out of no way. We are talking of the Almighty God! The one that is mightier than the mightiest. As Children of God, we must trust in His ability. Giving no room for any doubt! This is the aspect of God the Israelites failed to comprehend. If they can trust God for delivering them from the hand of Pharaoh, how much more can he make provision for their needs? The human brain is too small to comprehend His potency.
Job 36:26 (NIV)
How great is God–beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out.
We serve a God that always gets Himself prepared. No wonder, nothing catches Him by surprise. He prepares ahead for eventualities. This is a great attribute to inculcate and emulate as His children. It gives one stability even in the midst of disappointment and failures.
The Israelites, couldn’t figure out the possibility of God feeds them in the wilderness. The same God over fed them in the end. We are serving God that is able to do much more than our thoughts and requests. Stay in faith and you will see the salvation of our Lord.

I want to conclude by saying, the above teachings is to let you know that God always prepares things in advance. And I hope this will reinforce your confidence in Him. God cannot be panicking because of what you’re going through because He already envisaged it in advance and He has prepared a solution for you even before it happened. Your life is in God’s hands.
Keep your relationship intact with Him and I’m very sure you will laugh last.
