Friendship is a way of life. Nevertheless, we need to know that our friends have a great influence on our lives in one way or the other. We all make friends and have friends. Rarely you will see someone without a friend.
We all have someone closer to us who we share our fears, worries, thoughts, plans and aspiration with. But not many of us take into consideration the influences they have in our lives.
Friends can either break or make us. It is the reason we must be very careful while making this choice.
Surround yourself with the right people who know God and have the fear of God.
When Saul was searching for his father’s donkeys, he gave up at some point. He was ready to go back home but for the servant that accompanied him on the journey who advised him not to give up. 1 Samuel 9:5.
The servant asked him to seek godly counsel by introducing him to a true man of God named Prophet Samuel. 1 Samuel 9:6.
Imagined if this servant had not been with him, he would probably have missed his destiny of becoming the first King of Israel.
The type of friends you keep matters a lot. If they are good, you are in the right company-Because a good friend can be closer than a brother.
A good friend will always be there for you in good or bad times. That is what friendships are for! Bearing each other’s burden and supporting one another.
Many people are in trouble today because of the kind of friends they keep and take advice from. They were advised wrongly because they themselves don’t have the minds of their own.
Love everyone, but not everyone can be your friends.
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”. Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)
