Drag Queens Mock Pro-Life Activists in Planned Parenthood Fundraiser

In a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, drag queen performers in Washington state mocked pro-lifers and area pastors by auctioning off cardboard cutouts of local Christians.

According to the Christian Post, the drag queens used large cutouts of the faces of pastors Ken Peters and Afshin Yaghtin, as well as the founder of 500 Mom Strong, Anna Bohach, and lined up on the stage for auction. The highest bidder won each of the “effigies,” Activist Mommy wrote on her blog.

The Planned Parenthood fundraiser was put on by pro-abortion group Spokane United Against Religious Extremism and The Church of Planned Parenthood. According to the group’s Facebook page, its purpose is to act as a “peaceful counter-protest and rising voice to religious extremism that is happening in our community.”

Particularly, the group is “focused on the hateful actions and rhetoric of the Church at Planned Parenthood and their affiliates.”

The Church at Planned Parenthood is a group of pro-life activists who meet in front of a Planned Parenthood building in Washington “for the worship of God and the corporate prayer for repentance for this nation, repentance for the apathetic church and repentance of our blood-guiltiness in this abortion holocaust.”

According to the Christian Post, the fundraiser raised $1,865 for Planned Parenthood. The abortion giant was also in attendance at the event, handing out T-shirts and free goodies.

Bohach told The Christian Post she was not surprised by the event nor with Planned Parenthood’s partnership.

“Christians are the biggest threat to their agendas,” she said. “We are the only ones standing in their way and telling them: ‘No, you will not abort babies; no, you will not exploit vulnerable women; and now, you will not expose our children to sexual deviancy and gender confusion. Using effigies and a slave-auction style fundraiser to raise money for an organization whose existence is based upon the extermination of black Americans is in very poor taste. But again, not surprising given drag itself is rooted in the blackface minstrel shows of the last century,” Bohach asserted.
