President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump invited some very special guests to join them at the US Capitol tonight for President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address to the nation.
Among the Trumps’ invited guests were Debra Bissell, Heather Armstrong, and Madison Armstrong, who are grieving the loss of their loved ones, Gerald and Sharon David of Reno, Nevada. The Davids were tragically murdered in their home by an illegal immigrant in January 2019. The terrible loss has devastated both the couple’s community and three generations of their family: the Davids’ daughter, Debra; their granddaughter, Heather; and their great-granddaughter, Madison.
Another of the Trumps’ guests at the State of the Union was Matthew Charles. Charles’s life is a story of redemption. In 1996, he was sentenced to 35 years in prison for selling crack cocaine and other related offenses. While in prison, he found God, completed more than 30 Bible studies, became a law clerk, taught GED classes, and mentored fellow inmates. On January 3, 2019, Charles was the first prisoner released as a result of the First Step Act.
Also among the Trumps’ guests is Judah Samet. Samet is a member of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. In October 2018, he survived the horrific shooting that killed 11 members of his community. Judah is also a survivor of the Holocaust. Judah immigrated to Israel after the war and was present for the declaration of the Israeli State in 1948. He served as a paratrooper and radioman in the Israeli Defense Forces and moved to the United States in the 1960s.
Pastor Andrew Brunson and his wife, Norine, have been invited to attend the president’s State of the Union address by Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC). Brunson was held in a Turkish prison for two years before finally being released last October. His ordeal mobilized Christians around the world.

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s guests at the State of the Union are another reminder of her far-left agenda.
Pelosi’s guests in the House gallery include union leaders and left-wing activists like Planned Parenthood President Dr. Leana Wen, and transgender activists from OutServe-Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and SPARTA.
