God has a Prophetic End for You

¶  When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son. Matt 2: 13-15 (NIV)

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. Matt 2:23-24 (NIV)

The above scriptures highlights two occasions when Jesus earthly parents were divinely instructed to run away from danger.  Amazingly, as they were running for safety, every step they took were actually fulfilling prophecy. However, whilst they were running away on both occasions, it looks as though they were running away from the plan of God for baby Jesus, but their commitment to obey divine instructions caused them to arrive at where it has been pre-planned for the child to be.

The truth is, God plans our future long before we were born into this world….yes,  long before we arrived! He knows the end from the beginning, knows you inside out and have planned your life ready. Nothing will ever happen in your life that God had not seen beforehand.  And when we align ourselves to Him in obedience, by following His directions,  there is nothing stopping us from getting to where God wants us to be. The truth about this was revealed to Prophet Jeremiah in the scripture below.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jer 1:5 (NIV)

Having said that, circumstances do happen in one’s life that may intentionally or unintentionally orchestrated by evil forces or by our wrong choices to scuttle divine agenda. The circumstances surrounded the birth of  our Lord JESUS CHRIST and His formative years will be relevant to this post. At a tender age, two times He had a threat to His life. King Herod wanted Him killed likewise his successor, King Archelaus. (Matt 2:16-17, 22-23).

But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.” Acts 5:39

Every time the two Kings tries to terminate Jesus life, they end up pushing him to fulfil a divine prophecy that has been written long before Him. It then means that sometimes God will allow us to go through certain situations just because He had seen it long before us and had decided to use it as a recipe of our progress.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28 (NIV)

What do I want you to take from this post? To let you know that you have a goodly heritage in God. God has expected end for your life, marriage, career, eternity,  and whatever the enemy may throw at you, God can still turn it around for your good. You only need to keep on trusting Him and believe that He has your best interest at hand. Trusting that in fire and water, God will be there with you. The same God that turned the furnace of fire made by Nebuchadnezzar to a cooling room is the same that kept the baby Moses afloat in a river. He is committed to taking you to the end of His prophecy (plan and purpose) for you. If nothing could stop Jesus to fulfil  prophecy, nothing would be able to stop you fulfilling yours in Jesus name.

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, this is the right time to do so. You are not reading this post by accident.

You just require to confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour;

Do so prayerfully and with the depth of your heart. In order to do that please click here ⇐

  1. So many people today see themselves as victims of circumstances. This is absolutely opposite of how Christians should view themselves as you so perfectly explained. We are formed by God and though we may encounter difficulties in life, we aren’t subject to them, but are ‘overcomers in Christ Jesus’! Thank goodness that Romans 8:28 is always true!! Thanks for your post.
