The Authority in Christ You May Not Have Known

Have you ever trespassed on someone else’s land and being chased away or stand too close to someone’s face and you are being told you are occupying their space? These and some other ways are how people fight for their territory-a place of authority.

Territory is a legal boundary. It’s a place of authority. Nations and individuals can do anything to protect the ownership of a territory. The reason America under Trump is also bent on building walls to protect their country against illegal immigrants. The battle he’s still facing with the two arms of their government to support his ambition.

What President Trump is trying to do by building wall is not new, it is what is prevalent in the bible days. Most nations during this period walled their territory to protect them from insurgency and external aggression. Wall of Jericho and Jerusalem readily comes to mind.I have seen neighbours fighting over boundary lines, farmers fighting over farm land boundaries and many more .

Life is about territory. Every creation of God has it’s own territory. The animals own the jungle, mankind own villages, town and cities; fishes own the water bodies, birds own the air and the spirit bodies, angels, demons own the celestial space.

The day a lion walk into a village, he became a wanderer, the day a man walk into the jungle also became a wanderer. In the bible we saw that the day angels had canal knowledge with humans they were punished for it.

And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling–these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. Jude 1:6 (NIV)

Among all God’s creations, man was given higher authority over others. When Adam and Eve sinned everything was reversed. The title deed was handed over to Satan. But through the death and resurrection of Christ, the lost glory was regained back to whoever accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

But sadly despite the reinstated position of man. many believers still don;t know the authority they possessed in Christ. They allowed the wanderer demonic spirits to rule them. They allowed the harassment of the devil to prevail over them. Ignorance will always give rooms for Satan to claim what does not belong to him.

I like to stress that a Christian can still be harassed due to ignorance or failure to operate in this level. The cosmic world is still under the operation and authority of Satan but no believer is subject to his authority (John 14:30). Because the authority of believers is from God. It is beyond the territory of Satan. Believers are not of this world, therefore their powers is beyond that of Satan.

I am more concerned about spiritual territory of a believer than the physical. Because as soon as you take care of the spiritual you will be good in the physical. Just like Jabez, he prayed to God to enlarge his territory; his sphere of dominion. Knowing fully well that would bring total turn around in his life.

When God called Moses in the desert,  He told him that the land he trod on is now a holy land. Now that God leaves in us, it then means anywhere we put our feet, Satan is displaced in the spiritual realm. Anytime we move into a town, cities, countries, the grip of Satan in those places is lost.

God also told Joshua that he will possess anywhere the sole of his feet treads. And that was the case throughout his reign. They CONQUERED their all enemies on their ways to the promised land and took possession of the land and everything there in.

I am handing over to you every place you set foot, as I promised Moses. Joshua 1:3 (NET)

Likewise I want to tell someone reading this post that you possess the land that you are right now. Nothing in that country should work against you. That city is blessed because you are there. Satan loses his hold the moment you walk into that town and that work place.

God is inside of you and walk with you everywhere you go. You have authority over sicknesses, plaques, diseases, viruses, fevers that operate in your environment. It’s your territory given to you by God. No ailments has authority in your body. That is why bible called them strangers.  Live with this mentality and belief, and you shall see that everything will begins to work for you positively in Jesus name.

The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places. Psalm 18:45 (KJV)
